Dear Oak Ridge and Helen Keller Families,
My name is Anna Eovaldi and I will be teaching the Art classes at Oak Ridge Elementary this year. I am very excited to be the one who gets to guide your child through the world of art! I have many creative lessons to teach and can’t wait to get started.
A little bit about me:
I have taught art for the past six years but this will be my second year with Royal Oak. I live with my husband Joe and my son Joey. We have a pet gold fish. I love to spend my free time with my family - reading, bike riding and cooking. I enjoy crocheting and painting. I love teaching art and can’t imagine spending my time doing anything different!
My education background:
I completed my bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University in Art Education in 2008. I was able to obtain my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University in 2012. I continue to grow as an educator by attending educational conferences as well as educational, and art based, workshops. I also feel by visiting various museums and art institutions, strengthen and expands my art knowledge.
If you have any questions about the art room please contact me by email and I will reply as soon as possible.

Things to look forward too:
Artsonia at Oak ridge – Ms. B and I are in the process of switching over the Artsonia account, so students can continue to upload artwork. Once the account is switched I will send home permission slips/instructions for those who want to participate. More details to come soon.
Artsonia at Helen Keller - I will be sending home persmission slips and directions soon for those who particpated last year and for those who want to join!
Art Shirts: Art will be very messy this year for all students. An art shirt is any old shirt/apron students can put on over their clothes to keep their school clothes clean. Students will keep their art shirt on their coat hook. Please label the art shirt with your child’s name.
Art room website:
The art room website is http://creatingwithmrse.weebly.com/
On the site you will find student art work, monthly newsletters and links to Artsoina.
Please be mindful that most art lessons will take one to three classes for completion. I will be sending home all of your child's masterpieces when they are dry and finished!
Stay Creative - Mrs. Eovaldi
